Great Gizmos 4M Woven Bracelets Making Kit Review

We were asked to review Great Gizmos 4M Woven Bracelets Making Kit much to my daughters delight, Once it arrived we got right to work choosing what colours she wanted her bracelets to be.

So we started to set up the contents of the box which included 8 different colour threads you need 14 at the most to make the bracelet so you will need to use some colours more than once.  You then need to cut the thread to 75 cm and then gather one end and tie a knot. Then divide the thread into 2 sections 7 strands each and then thread one of the colour needles throw one section and the other through the other section so you are ready to start.

The next step was to attach the four jump rings to each end of the two chains and then add a hook to two of the jump rings on each bracelet. We then used the safety pins to attach each end of the chain onto a cushion to hold the chain in place while we braided the thread through the chains.

Now I will say my daughter found it hard to follow the instructions and even found it a tad confusing. Now this product is aimed for kids ages five and older on the box and I really can't see a five year old be able to do this so I would definitely aim this for kids eight and up. So we decided to check out the video on the website to see if this would help at all and I think it would have if it was not so fast maybe a step by step video would be good to help explain how the braiding worked. So after a few failed goes I decided to show my daughter another way to braid and even my daughter found my way a lot easier.
But once the bracelet was complete the results looked amazing and my daughter was very pleased too.

3D Jigsaw Titanic Review

My 7 year old son is quite mad about the Titanic  he has books, Movies, posters and lots of other bits too. So when I saw this on Ebay for £3.99 I had to buy it for him...

It comes in lots of bits about 30 in total that you need to punch them out they are all numbered so its not to hard to put together.

With the instruction book to help guide you its as easy as 1, 2, 3.

With some clever interlocking parts and the easy instructions in was not long before the Titanic started to take some shape.

After about half an hour the Jigsaw was almost complete, much to my sons enjoyment he could not wait to get his hands on it and put it pride and place in his room.

The whole process took about a hour in total and the end results were fantastic I must say it was £3.99 well spent. I would definitely buy another one like this or more 3D jigsaws.

Ant and Dec Supercomputer comes to Plymouth

Wow omg yes it came to plymouth but by the time I got there all the places had filled up ..... Gutted but still I watched all the others trying to win tickets to Florida.

It was a fun day lots if laughs and boos...

Looking forward to watching the show tonight fingers crossed I see me in the crowd...

I am the one in yellow let me know if you see me

I will say there were a few funny contestants my fav was Lauren a girl in big glasses and a Hawaiian shift she should have won...

But a girl called Kate with red hair was the first to bag some tickets ....

But after a few hours watching I must say i was a wee bit sick of singing sea shanties about the drunken sailor ....

But it was all in good fun and some were major car crashes i never thought we would get a winner at one point ......

Half Term Ideas

Right half term has now started and now I need to keep the kids entertained on a small budget so this is what we have been upto so far this week

Over the weekend...

Bought the kids some bubbles and let them loose in the garden ....(only the top half as we have just moved and the new garden needs a lot of work ).... They had a lot of fun and even the kittens had fun chasing the bubbles.

This all ended in a huge water fight where we all got wet and ended up in a bath and then jammies... So Today was a Success!!!

Today.....

We made our own pizza and even made the Pizza dough fresh in the bread maker which Skips the kitten thought was great watching the dough been kneaded .....shame I cant keep the kids amused like this.

And while we waited we even made some biscuits too .... just a simple shortbread recipe of flour, butter and sugar ....

I made lots of different shapes and my helper had fun making his own too ... and they were super yummy so today was a success too!
